So waaaay back in college I spent a summer working as a resource assistant (park ranger without the gov't pay scale) at a national park in the wilds of Easter Washington State. I was stationed at a tiny ranger station about 30 miles from the Canadian border, in the mountains. I have not been back in 20 years.
